Reports to the Board of Directors and has ultimate responsibility for the Dallas/Fort Worth Minority Business Council including financial, human resources, planning and execution.   Posey works directly with the Working groups of the Council: 

  • Council Operations
  • Inclusive Supply Chain
  • Marketing
  • Membership
  • Buy Those That Buy UsTM

Additionally, Ms. Posey works closely with the Business Consortium Fund; Supplier Diversity Professionals; MBEIC; MBE Leadership Committee; MBE Executive Scholarships; and the National Minority Supplier Development Council.  Ms. Posey develops partnerships to promote minority businesses and inclusive procurement/business access and opportunities amongst Buying-Entities as well as MBE to MBE opportunities.

Reports to the President and has overall responsibility for support staff, technology, D/FW MBC Website, ACCESS, E-Awards and the two golf tournaments.  Mr. Nash is the liaison to the IT Industry Group, Council Operations Survey Group, Council Connections; Food & Beverage Industry Group. Through Council Connections and the Council Operations Survey Group, Mr. Nash has responsibility of tracking the organization's progress.

 Executive Administrator / Customer Service Representative


Reports to the Director of Operations. Responsible for maintaining the President's calendar, scheduling appointments, Staff Travel, meetings and speaking engagements. Greets and receives all guests that visit the organization. Main phone contact for incoming calls, and event scheduling RSVP's. Responsible for completion of all reports required of National Minority Supplier Development Council (quarterly, year-end, special) and local reports for GLI and other agencies as directed by the president. Maintains positive relationship with all Buying-Entity members and MBE clients. Attends events that require staff involvement. Performs related duties as assigned.

Director of Construction


Reports to the President. Responsible for the implementation and execution of Construction related activities, events, General Contractor member recruitment and certified supplier development. Responsible for the Construction Directory.   Works with iSqFt and QUOIN as well as other construction advocacy organizations.

Membership Services Manager


Reports to the President.  Manages D/FW MBC certification program, serves as a liaison between D/FW MBC staff and Certification Committee. Responsible for minority business recruitment and retention and serves as primary point of contact for certification inquiries.   Ms. Morgan is also responsible for Buying Entity Member support and Buying Entity directory services.   Liaison to the Certification committee, State of Texas HUB, Supplier Diversity Professionals Committee, Inclusive Supply Chain Working Group, Membership Working Group and other Working/Industry Groups as required.

Information and Sourcing Specialist

 

Reports to the Director of Operations.  Responsible for the D/FW MBC Rapid Response program providing rapid turn around of sourcing requests to both Buying Entity members and certified suppliers requiring quick sourcing options.  Also responsible for all database management; certification data; and input and processes designed to communicate information and an efficient work flow.  Mrs. Khawar disseminates bid opportunities, and other electronic communiqués to include event/activity announcements of the D/FW MBC.  She is responsible for Industry Group communiqués, information retrieval and sourcing.   Responsible for NMSDC data collection and distribution; MBYSIS Management; she is also the Liaison to DirectConnect, the IT Industry Group and works across Industry Groups and Working Groups on all data related projects.  Responsible for completion of all reports required of National Minority Supplier Development Council (quarterly, year-end, special) and local reports for other agencies as directed by the president.

Plan Acquisition / Planroom / Construction  Services Coordinator

 

Reports to the Director(s) of Operations and Construction

Maintains an orderly and efficient plan room; posts current plans and removes outdated plans.  Disseminates daily bid information and construction related information to the entire Construction industry.  Assists with the development of the Construction Directory.  Liaison to the Construction Industry Group, the BAC and iSqFt.

The Business Consortium Fund has been a source of capital for many NMSDC certified minority-owned firms having difficulty obtaining financing from conventional sources on reasonable terms. Whether it is though a line of credit, contract financing, working capital loan, equipment financing, or an intermediate term loan, the BCF can assist with the financing needed to help facilitate transactions between minority suppliers and corporate America. Through its access to capital programs and business advisory services the BCF has contributed to the growth and development of minority-owned businesses and made a meaningful economic impact on the communities in which they reside.    Owen Stewart is contracted through the BCF as the Dallas/Fort Worth Minority Business Council liaison and can assist certified minority businesses with access to needed capital.
